My freshman year of college I became friends with a girl who lived down the hall from me. I have a very clear memory of smelling Chinese takeout one night and like any good college student, I followed my nose. It’s safe to say that a bond made over a mutual love of Chinese food is one that cannot be easily broken.
My friend doesn’t live down the hall from me anymore, or even in the same state, but somehow she still inspires me to try new things and to get out and explore.
Chris and I love exploring together. One incredible aspect of living in Massachusetts is that there is an endless number of adorable towns and places to visit nearby. A few weeks ago, Chris and I took a spontaneous little day trip with Barley to Rockport, MA. Rockport is a sleepy little town by the sea, full of cute shops, good food and beautiful views. It was perfect.
So what inspired our little impromptu excursion? My friend and her brand new venture: Village and Wild. I highly encourage you to check out the website, which officially launched today. The shirts are incredibly soft and comfortable, and the Emerson Tee is now my go-to tee for all occasions. Not to mention, for each shirt that is purchased a tree will be planted in association with the National Forest Foundation. Shopping, looking cute and helping the environment? Sounds like a win-win to me.
